Melissa received her Master's degree in Clinical Counseling from Bellevue University in Omaha, Nebraska and her undergraduate degree in Mass Communications from Briar Cliff University in Sioux City, Iowa. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Arizona.
Prior to joining the Sedona Sky Clinical Team Melissa worked as a therapist at the National Youth Advocate Program serving Foster children, Children and adults in the community. She also worked as a Patient Care Assistant, a Family Permanency Specialist as well as a Unit Case worker and Mental Health Intern for the State of Nebraska Department of Corrections. Melissa also has experience working with abused women and children in a crisis center.
Melissa loves her "kiddos" Fred the Beagle and Lucy the French Bulldog. She loves to crochet and do random crafts. She loves History and has been a civil war re-enactor since she was 13. She likes to fish a lot, but she never eats what she catches.
