Meet Our Residential Team
Josh Blade – Program Director
Josh Blade joined Sedona Sky Academy in March of 2018. Prior to SSA, he worked in a variety of roles, which included, lead residential staff and program manager, at a Middle School Girls Program in North Carolina. His primary focus is to create an environment that encourages students to develop their courage, strength, and community through a balance of structure and fun!
Josh utilizes principles of Theraplay and PACE to help connect with and encourage students to try something new and build their resiliency. Josh loves planning the BRT (Building Relationships of Trust) outings, along with planning break week and holiday activities. In his spare time, Josh enjoys golfing, attending Diamondback games, reading, visiting the local state and national parks, and spending time with family and friends.
Kyrissa Krebbs – Assistant Program Director
Kyrissa is native to Northern Arizona and has enjoyed exploring the beautiful scenery that Arizona has to offer.
Kyrissa began working for Sedona Sky Academy in May of 2017. She has held positions as an Administrative Assistant, Activities Coordinator and her current position as Assistant Program Director. Her focus is to help create an atmosphere that builds courage, strength, community and of course plenty of fun. Kyrissa enjoys helping to plan student activities and working directly with students to encourage them to step out of their comfort zones.
In Kyrissa’s free time she enjoys reading, hiking, geocaching, and spending time with loved ones.
Tarra Hopkins – Residential Director
My husband and I moved to the Verde Valley in 1990 from Vallejo, California. We have lived here for 25 yrs.
I Started in the caregiver industry in 1998 as an in homecare provider. In 2004 I went to work for a local law enforcement agency as an Animal Control Officer “Camp Verde Marshals Office”.
I came to Sedona Sky in 2013. Working with the girls has been very rewarding for me, I can’t see myself being anywhere else.
My background is serving for 15 years in business management positions.
I always wanted a career where I could make a difference in the lives of adolescents. I feel I have found that here with the school.
I am working at the best job I have ever had. It is very rewarding to be a part of these young ladies development.
I look forward to going to work everyday.
