A Peaceful, Healing, Therapeutic Environment

Our Campus

Sedona Sky Academy is located in the Verde Valley of central Arizona – just minutes away from Sedona, a place known worldwide for health and healing.  You can find us about 95 miles north of Phoenix and 55 miles south of Flagstaff.

Surrounded by giant cottonwood trees, our campus is situated on 29 acres of land running along the edge of Beaver Creek.

We Invite You to Visit – You Won’t be Disappointed

Sedona Sky Academy’s facilities take advantage of the mild climate and beautiful scenery of the area as one of the most unique residential treatment centers for girls in the country. The school is nestled in a valley close to pine-covered peaks, ancient ruins, rivers, hiking trails, and wide open spaces. Students have the opportunity to enjoy nature and the great outdoors.

Our central location and idyllic year-round weather allows the girls to enjoy camping trips to The Grand Canyon, hikes throughout the trails of Sedona, science trips to Lowell’s Planetarium Observatory in Flagstaff, and art, music, and theater trips in the local area.

Comfortable Home-Style Living Quarters

Our dorms are everything but the stereotypical dormitory.  They are designed to help the girls feel at home in a family style, home-like atmosphere.

All of the living quarters at Sedona Sky Academy are beautiful, modern, clean and comfortable spaces for the girls during their stay.

Much like a family at home, the girls spend much of their time together after school talking, playing board games, watching a movie, or even finding a quiet spot in the living room to read an inspiring book. We have a much more comfortable, home life feel compared to other residential treatment centers.

Soccer, Volleyball & Outdoor Recreation Areas

Because of the mild weather, green grass and nearby wonders, our girls spend a lot of time outdoors.  We take advantage of our location near the many natural and scenic wonders in our area for hikes, tours, field trips and service projects – but we also have spaces on campus designed for fun and recreation of all kinds.

We’ve designed our campus to be peaceful, serene, and free from the stresses of the outside world.  The girls play frisbee, volleyball, or games on the lawn in the evenings – and you’ll find that everywhere you look is somewhere inviting to lay on the grass and read a book, or watch the amazing Sedona Sky sunsets in the evening.

Large Soccer Field & Recreation Areas

Soccer and outdoor sports are part of the daily fun and exercise at Sedona Sky. Our beautiful grass fields provide a lot of room to compete in soccer, field hockey, frisbee, and water activities in the summer.

Surrounding the soccer field you will find a running & walking path where the girls often spend time going for a jog or walk before breakfast.

Our Outdoor Fitness Area

Our mild climate allows us to take advantage of the surrounding beauty right from our back yard.

The girls love the outdoor fitness area where they can work out in the evenings as the sun sets in the west, painting hues of bright red, orange, pink and blue across the sky.

Evenings at Sedona Sky are magical – as the sun fades away the sounds of the rushing creek nearby are joined by the chorus of croaking frogs and the soft calls of the wild quail welcoming the night and the magnificent jeweled sky.
